CMT Inc. located in the beautiful resort city of Hot Springs, Arkansas has an immediate opening for a CMM Inspector. CMT is a well diversified small business supplier to leading aerospace, defense, business jet, and DOD customers. The CMM Inspector is responsible for providing support to the machine shop and Quality department to ensure all manufactured products meet engineering design specifications and the company maintains compliance with all customer requirements.

Reports To: Quality Manager

Summary

Perform inspection utilizing Portable Arm Type CMM and Verisurf software to support customer requirements. Generate CMM Inspection Reports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect Aircraft Parts and generate CMM Inspection Reports
• Support First Article Inspection activity and documentation per AS9102.
• Interface with Manufacturing and Engineering ensure products are in accordance with approved data.
• Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with customer requirements and that of the quality management system.
• Assist with maintenance of the Quality Management System.
• Assist with detail, in process, and final part inspection.
• Perform Tooling Inspections and Periodic Tool Inspections.
• Requirements
• High School Diploma, GED.
• Previous experience in an aerospace environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CMM Inspector.
• Good working knowledge of GD&T
• Possess excellent PC skills.
• Working knowledge of Verisurf or other CMM Inspection software.
• CAD CAM Skills. Preferably experience with Mastercam.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and ability to learn other software.
• Ability to use various measuring tolls such as Height Gauges, Dial Indicators, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.
• Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Works well with others and has a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
