Compensation: $240,000 - $260,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care MD to join our healthcare team. As a Wound Care MD, you will be responsible for providing specialized care and treatment to patients with acute and chronic wounds. Your expertise in wound assessment, dressing selection, and wound healing techniques will be crucial in promoting positive patient outcomes.

Job Qualifications:

- Valid nursing license in NY

- Proven experience as a Wound Care MD or similar role

- In-depth knowledge of wound assessment, dressing selection, and wound healing techniques

- Familiarity with various types of wounds (e.g., pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic foot ulcers)

- Equipped with articulate communication and outstanding leadership skills, able to lead team members to collaborate toward common goals

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Overseeing the Wound Care Program, training Nurses Practitioners and Physician Assistants

- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including measurements, appearance, and drainage

- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on the assessment findings

- Cleanse and dress wounds using appropriate techniques and materials

- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies

- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in patients' medical records

- Adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of wound infections
