Corporate Accounts Receivable Director
Compensation: $275,000 - $315,000 a year
Job Type: Full-Time and in-person position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate AR Director to lead our accounts receivable department. The ideal Corporate AR Director will be responsible for overseeing the management, strategy, and coordination of all accounts receivable activities to ensure timely collection of receivables and optimize cash flow. Corporate AR Director role involves developing and implementing policies, improving processes, and working closely with other departments to support the companys financial goals.
Job Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts receivable operations.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts receivable processes, credit policies, and collections strategies.
  • Understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and regulations.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to travel occasionally for meetings and conferences.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Working Conditions:
  • This position typically works in an office environment with standard office hours.
  • May require extended hours during peak periods or to meet critical deadlines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead and mentor the accounts receivable team, ensuring professional development and high performance.
  • Set and monitor performance goals for the department, providing regular feedback and evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Strategy and Policy Development:
  • Develop and implement accounts receivable policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Establish credit policies, collections processes, and risk management strategies.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve the accounts receivable function.
  • Accounts Receivable Operations:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounts receivable department, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor and manage the aging of receivables to ensure timely collections and minimize bad debt.
  • Review and approve significant credit and collection decisions.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis, DSO (days sales outstanding), and cash flow forecasts.
  • Analyze receivables data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and support overall financial planning.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing and collection issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes.
  • Technology and Process Improvement:
  • Leverage technology to streamline accounts receivable processes and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate and implement accounts receivable software and tools.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance process automation and efficiency.
