Summary:The responsibility of a Metal Blender/Sander is to smooth, polish or sand metal components through hand held sanding equipment. Responsibilities:De-burr metal components to meet with the quality specifications. Perform self-inspection to ensure conformance to quality standards. Examine work pieces for defects and report to the team leader if found. On occasions, perform minor equipment maintenance. Wear Personal Protection Equipment.Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements:High school or GED diploma.Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.Work understanding and usage of power tools. Great communication and organizational skills. Positive attitude. Self-motivated.Ability to work as part of a team. Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position will work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. Position will be primarily working in a standing position for up to 6 plus hours per day. Some duties will require sitting for short periods of time. Must be capable of lifting 0-50lbs. in the proper ergonomic position.
