CMFG Life Insurance Company is Hiring a Remote DevOps Engineer II (Remote)

Job Purpose: Integrated Lending Technologies is seeking a strong DevOps Engineer. This person will be joining our agile environment and will be a crucial part of an exciting, fast paced, and engaged delivery team. This person will participate in the continuous improvement of quality and delivery in all respects. Job Responsibilities: Incumbents in this role steward the development teams’ self-service automation capabilities; oversee merges and releases; partner with and assist others across integration testing, acceptance testing, and UI testing, ensuring code coverage; coordinate and contribute to mitigation of findings from software composition analysis tools, penetration testing, compliance, and other vulnerability reports. This role works across the software development landscape, from supporting and extending our cloud-based infrastructure with patching and scripting, to building and maintaining automation throughout build, test, and release, by leveraging CI/CD pipelines. (70%) Assess and integrate the industry best practices for solution architecture frameworks, standards and guidelines; implement supporting application development, services, and components to drive scalable and adaptive solution architectures across the enterprise; assist in designing and developing enterprise services and components as well as supporting frameworks. (20%) Monitoring, configuration, and administration of security and compliance automation technology and assisting QA with streamlining automation tooling. (10%) Work with, assist, and learn from Technical Leads that architect, maintain and extend our cloud-based infrastructure. The above statement of duties is not intended to be all inclusive and other duties will be assigned from time to time. Job Requirements: BS in MIS or CS or equivalent trade-off in related education and related professional work experience. 5 years’ work experience in IT 3 years’ experience in the following: Cloud-computing: IaaS and PaaS. Azure preferred, but AWS background can transition Pipelines (Automated CI/CD), GitHub preferred Node.js, React, Redux, or TypeScript PHP experience useful MySQL Server Demonstrated experience in CI/CD automation and willingness to teach others. Proficiency and comfort with working remotely as needed, engaging with stakeholders across multiple time-zones through the use of collaboration tools like email, Slack, Teams, and Confluence. Demonstrated expertise in business application, information and/or technical architecture design. Demonstrated the ability to work on a collaborative Development Team, and step outside of typical job duties to help the team complete Sprint or Kanban commitments. Ability to navigate ambiguity with positivity, build collaborative relationships, and seek feedback. Demonstrated competency in business application, information and/or technical architecture design. Demonstrated good judgment and reliability. Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service Ability to travel up to 10% of the time #LI-LT #LI-Remote Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
