Job Title: Construction Materials Testing Technicians and Special Inspectors

Pay Rate: $14.00 to $16.00 Depending on Certifications and Experience

Description: Construction Materials Engineering & Consulting, PC (CMEC) is now accepting resumes for Field Engineering Technician positions. The position duties consist of Soil Testing, Concrete Testing & Sampling, Steel Inspections, Special Inspections, Wood Framing, and Asphalt Testing.

We are currently NOT looking for office staff, Mechanical Engineering Technicians, or Managers.

Duties: Performing various testing and inspections during the mass grading and construction of various residential and commercial buildings and roadways. Completing all services on-time including paperwork reporting daily.

Requirements: Valid Driver’s License – Positive Attitude – Weekend Work Coverage – Occasional Overnight Travel - Punctuality – Passing a Drug Screening Test.

Desired Certifications: CMEC is looking for a few candidates that either have or would be willing to learn and earn any of the following certifications. ACI, ICC Special Inspections, CWI, SCDOT, and NCDOT. Any candidate(s) holding a current certification as stated would be moved to the top of the consideration list.

Desired Experience: minimum of 3-years’ experience in the construction field with positive references. All references will be verified prior to an interview.
