CMC Foods is Hiring a Plant Supervisor Near Atlanta, GA

The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for fast-paced production and office operations. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills and will be accountable for all aspects of operational and production performance.

The plant Supervisor will ensure that objectives are attained cost-effectively while maintaining quality requirements. They will also delegate authority to critical production, warehousing, office, and maintenance employees, manage all functions involved, and directly coordinate operations for the entire facility.

They will manage scheduling and staffing, oversee daily operating reports, and manage efficient production by providing leadership and developing strategic plans. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with an analytical mind, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and high organization.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed must represent the knowledge, skills, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee daily operations with the ability to coordinate production schedules, employee schedules, and inventory, utilizing manufacturing best practices to ensure seamless production and office functions while observing OSHA, SQF, GMP, HACCP, and FDA regulations.
  • Build a safety-first culture and develop a highly motivated workforce focused on food safety. Must identify and eliminate potential sources of food, security, and safety risks.
  • Responsible for delivering environmental, health, and safety performance, working to exceed expectations for all internal and external audits. Ensures all legal compliance requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations are met.
  • Implement comprehensive new hire and continuing development training programs for all employees, standardizing SOPs for consistent quality and efficiency.
  • Serve as a positive role model of emotional intelligence and servant leadership. Drive positive employee relations and conflict resolution and deliver sustainable results.
  • Act as liaison between plant personnel, maintenance teams, and corporate functions; build solid relationships with all team members. Effectively communicate urgent issues, both internal and external, to the site as needed and maintain required administrative records.
  • Identify issues quickly, investigate the root causes, develop corrective actions, and coordinate team member activities so that problems are communicated upward and dealt with quickly and effectively.
  • Analyze production metrics and data to determine improvement areas, manage inventory, analyze trends, and issue production and performance reports regularly.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including production reports and other necessary documentation, as well as weekly, monthly, and annual inventory reconciliation and forecasting.
  • Quick response time to customers, suppliers, and other personnel with timely follow-up, documentation, and resolution of customer complaints.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related industry is preferred
  • Minimum two years of previous Supervisory experience in a Food Manufacturing environment
  • Experience implementing policy & procedures.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislative requirements, as well as familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating facilities
  • Problem Solving: excels at analyzing issues, defining root causes, evaluating potential solutions, creating and implementing a plan for mechanical and operational issues
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Communication skills: excellent verbal, digital, and interpersonal communication (Spanish/English bilingual a plus)
  • Strong leadership and management skills, displaying intuitive, positive, encouraging, trustworthy, reliable, and goal-oriented behaviors with the ability to supervise a diverse group of employees
  • Strict adherence to company standards, food safety policies, and safety procedures
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Able to motivate individuals and teams, provide one-on-one coaching, and maintain diplomacy while leading effective conflict resolution
  • Able to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
