The primary responsibilities of the DevOps Architect are to develop and advocate innovative DevOps platform that accelerates development and delivery of applications across the enterprise. Candidates will understand the challenges of our developers and apply the best technology solutions for those challenges. They will be passionate about sharing and coaching. Responsibilities: Design, code, test, and implement quality solutions for our DevOps platform that improve the developer experience Provide technical support, coaching and maintenance of our DevOps platforms and vendor solutions Work as part of a KanBan team, committed to cycle goals and team improvement Build quality into products via test automation and secure coding practices Conduct peer code reviews with a commitment to coding standards, quality, and team improvement Keep abreast on technology trends and make recommendations to team Build team consensus and lead adoption around new technology, standards, and process. Collaborate with cross functional teams to continuously improve and gain efficiencies in the deployment pipeline. Communicate optimally and offer guidance and training when appropriate to application development teams Prepare and share documentation and knowledge as appropriate Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance or business and/or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Expert level understanding of DevOps practices and terminology. 10 years of programming experience (preferred in Java, MuleSoft, React, Typescript, Javascript, Python) Strong scripting skills, i.e., Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc and cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) scripting experience with Terraform or Cloudformation Experience writing SQL for an OLTP database such as PostgreSQL, DB2, or Oracle Extensive knowledge and working experience in AWS, Kubernetes/Microservices, OpenShift, DevOps, and CI/CD technologies Resilient demeanor to quickly learn from failures and move on to alternate solutions Adept in Agile principles and working in scrum or KanBan teams. Excellent Interpersonal skills Preferred Experience: Tekton pipeline automation Declarative GitOps experience with ArgoCD Broad AWS services knowledge and experience, especially on AI/ML and MLOps services Development and administration skills in OpenShift Container Platform or Kubernetes and Docker Consulting and leadership experience Diverse tech-stack exposure, innovative, and highly motivated Required: Candidates must have effective team and interpersonal communication skills, work with minimal direction, think out of the box, pay strict attention to detail and quality, and able to deal with ambiguous requirements by meeting with customers to drill down on specific results required.
