POSITION SUMMARY:

Mechanical design drafter is responsible for creating detailed drawings and schematics of various mechanical systems and components.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create technical drawings, manufacturing schematics, and 2D/3D models of mechanical equipment designs, using measurements, specifications, and additional data.
• Coordinate directly with sales to understand project goals.
• Use CAD software to create accurate blueprints for use during manufacturing.
• Communicate with manufacturing personnel during production.
• Review and analyze specifications.
• Trouble shoot and resolve manufacturing design issues.
• Other job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Associates Degree in drafting
• Proficient with SolidWorks and AutoCAD software
• Must have excellent technical communication skills with engineers and manufacturing personnel
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong mathematical abilities
• Ability to work within deadlines
• Experience with mechanical manufacturing processes
