Our client in Portland, Maine is searching for a talented and motivated Art Director to join their growing team. This is a temporary position with the potential to transition to permanent role based on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the visual identity for CPG brands across various marketing materials, including packaging, advertising, and digital content.
• Collaborate with copywriters, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure creative concepts are cohesive and on-brand.
• Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing clear direction and feedback based on your agency experience.
• Create and maintain project timelines and budgets, honed from your fast-paced agency environment.
• Source and select high-quality photography and illustrations, leveraging your agency network of vendors.
• Stay up-to-date on design trends and best practices within the CPG industry.
• Present creative concepts and final projects to clients and internal teams, with the confidence gained from client presentations in your agency background.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Art Director in a CPG-focused advertising or design agency.
• Proven experience working within the CPG industry (Laundry products is a major plus).
• Strong understanding of branding principles and marketing strategies.
• Exceptional portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative work, with a focus on packaging design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, honed in a fast-paced agency environment.
• The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure (agency skills!).
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality work.
