Job Summary
The Spray Technician at Seville Golf & Country Club is responsible for applying fertilizers and pesticides accurately as directed per state and federal regulations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within the turf industry. You will learn all aspects of championship golf course conditioning as a collaborative part of our leadership team.
Seville Golf & Country Club has been announced as the host site to the LPGA Tour 2024 Arizona Championship which will take place March 25-31. Come join our team as we prepare for this great event!
Day-to-Day
- Apply Fertilizers and Pesticides via both spray and granular application equipment.
- Calibrate, clean, and maintain sprayers and granular spreaders.
- Maintain a clean and tidy chemical and fertilizer storage area, keeping track of product inventories.
- Mix and load spray recipes with precision as directed.
- Assist with daily golf course set up on non-application days by performing tasks including but not limited to: Mowing Greens, Tees, and Fairways. Rolling Greens. Course Set-Up. Raking bunkers.
- Assist with checking greens moisture with moisture meters and hand watering when necessary.
About You
- Have a passion for the turf management industry.
- At least 1 Year of experience on a golf course Agronomy Team.
- Team Player with a positive, “whatever it takes” attitude.
- An extreme eye for detail
- Have an Arizona Pesticide Applicators License (PUG) or the ability to acquire one within 90 days of hire.
- You can be trusted to maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary Company information and sensitive employee matters, except as expressly authorized by the Company.
- You are comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity
- A high school diploma, or equivalent
Pay Rate: $19.00/Hour
