Club Pilates Willow Glen is Hiring a Pilates Instructor - Certified Near San Jose, CA

About us

Club Pilates Willow Glen is a boutique Pilates studio opening in the Willow Glen community of San Jose, specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.

We are seeking highly motivated and educated instructors with a passion for Pilates and improving the lives of others through movement, health, and fitness. The ideal candidate is friendly, willing to learn, charismatic, able to create strong relationships with clients, and lead engaging classes through various Pilates-based apparatus workouts. This candidate will be comfortable teaching both private lessons, and group classes with up to 12 clients. Our studio uses Balanced Body reformers, EXO chairs, Spring Boards, TRX, Jump Boards, Ballet barre, and more throughout our workouts. We are looking for instructors who are confident in their Pilates knowledge that can teach clients of all levels in a challenging, safe and fun environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 450-hour comprehensive Pilates education (Minimum education to include; Mat, Reformer, Chair, and Springboard)
  • Up to date CPR & First Aid training and willingness to maintain
  • Comfortable learning and adding TRX, Functional Standing Movement(Barre), and TriggerPoint modalities to repertoire
  • Demonstrate anatomical knowledge and attention to safety
  • Demonstrated group reformer instruction abilities with ability to modify for different individuals in class
  • Experience teaching 6 or more participants in an apparatus-based group class
  • Maintain open availability for a minimum of 6 hours (2 shifts) per week
  • Passion for learning and willingness to complete continued education trainings or workshops
  • Team player

  • Professional and effective communication skills with proven public speaking skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide Pilates instruction (intro classes, group apparatus classes, private and semi-private training) as scheduled by management and pursuant to Club Pilates standards
  • Must be skilled at proper and safe use of a variety of equipment during each class, including, but not limited to, hand weights, Chair, Reformer, Springboard, TRX, Magic Circle and other equipment as needed to ensure a safe yet creative group experience
  • Visually inspect the equipment prior to the beginning of class to ensure equipment is in good working order and safe to use
  • Responsible for studio tidiness and returning equipment to standards set by studio management
  • Must arrive at a set time prior to the beginning of each scheduled class or private/semi-private session
  • Participate in networking/community events as needed to help generate new business
  • Stay up to date with, and implement, Club Pilates education standards at all times
  • Maintain honesty and integrity
  • Any other duties as assigned

Physical Demands:

Pay: $40.00 - $52.00 per hour
