Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
• Provide direct instruction in areas such as braille, orientation and mobility, daily living skills, and assistive technology.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to support the inclusion of visually impaired students in general education settings.
• Assess student progress, modify instruction as needed, and communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student performance and goals.
• Stay current on best practices and advancements in the field of visual impairment education.

Requirements :

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement in Visual Impairment Education (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred.
• Knowledge of braille, tactile graphics, and assistive technology.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with visual impairments.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Shift Time: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 0 (PRN)
Contract Duration: 10 weeks with possible extension

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $38.27 - $42.73 per hour
