Cloverdale Foods is Hiring a Pricing Analyst Near Mandan, ND

Performs advanced, multifaceted accounting and related functions in such areas as ledger maintenance and analysis, cost and/or financial analysis, posting, inventory control, monitoring market fluctuations and ensure staff follow established pricing policies. Analyzes complex financial, operating and market data and prepares management operating and financial reports and projections.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or directly related field required.
  • Knowledge and experience in using integrated accounting software applications and developing worksheets using electronic spreadsheet application software required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to provide the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the job will be considered.
  • Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience demonstrating full range of professional competency and experience providing technical leadership to junior professional staff required.

  • Monitors and reviews accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness; prepares and reviews budget, margins, expenses, invoices, and other accounting transactions.
  • Developing, monitoring, implementing, and communicating pricing contracts, ERP pricing processes, pricing deviations, and forecasting future price points.
  • Create/analyze customer price quotes
  • Adjusting pricing strategies according to public and market demands and coordinate with the marketing and sales team to inform and disseminate pricing adjustments to the customers and clients.
  • Analyzes margin and expenditure trends, recommends appropriate budget levels, and ensures expenditure control.
  • Advises and interprets policies to staff and outside persons such as customers and resolves related problems.
  • Develops accounting applications; oversees the input and handling of financial data and reports.
  • Utilize competitive pricing data to formulate profitability models and present pricing recommendations
  • Act as a single point of contact for all pricing related questions
  • May participate in auditing projects, as appropriate to individual operating needs.
  • Prepare accounting entries for multiple departments.
  • May develop, negotiate, and defend pricing and consult with management on the fiscal aspects of price planning and other administrative actions.
  • Developing spreadsheets to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, comparisons, impacts, and projections using standard methods and applications.
  • Developing, monitoring, and communicating accounting information and budget information.
  • Maintains and balances financial reports, schedules, and exhibits, and processes general journal entries.
  • Prepares periodic analyses of expenditures; and prepares technical reports on estimates, cost data, and budget items.
  • Classifies, codes, posts, and balances financial and accounting documents and records.
  • Researches and reconciles discrepancies in account balances and pricing, and reports findings.
  • Reviews department accounting records.
  • May assist in making recommendations for improvements, adaptations, or revisions to the accounting system and accompanying procedures.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to analyze budgetary expenditures for compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, and/or projections.
  • Account balancing and reconciling skills.
  • Working knowledge of financial software tools to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
