A facility in New York is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access Team (IV Team) for a 13 week local or travel contract with possibility for extension.

Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access Team (IV Team)Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access Team (IV Team) Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on patients
- Administer medications and IV infusions as prescribed
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and response to treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth and Epic
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers, including specialists, home care agencies, and laboratory services
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients

Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access Team (IV Team) Skills:
- Proficient in IV infusion techniques
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth and Epic
- Understanding of ICD-10 coding principles for accurate documentation and billing
- Experience working with geriatric patients in various settings, including memory care, home care, and long-term care facilities
- Ability to handle emergency situations in the ER setting

Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access Team (IV Team) Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in NYS
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- CPR certification required
