Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. If you have experience working in a medical or dental office, possess strong administrative skills, and are committed to delivering excellent patient care, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our electronic scheduling system (Dentrix)
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments
- Assist with managing patient flow and maintaining a clean reception area
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a front desk or administrative role (preferably in a dental or other medical office setting) is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is highly desirable
- Proficient in using computers
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations
