Overview:
Close To My Heart is a private, non-profit early childhood center that provides an inspiring, encouraging, and enlightening environment for all learners. We strive to meet the individual needs of each child enrolled. Our program encourages the whole child’s development (cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development) through personal and small group play activities. We are seeking Lead and Assistant Teachers for various age groups. Full and Part-time positions available!
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Encourage creativity and exploration through various learning experiences
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress
- Monitor and document student behavior and progress
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive learning environment
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Patience, compassion, and understanding towards young children's needs
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license
