Requirements:

Qualified candidates must safely and efficiently operate machines to run product in accordance to engineering specifications; set up machines, perform quality checks and fill out required reports. Machine operations including punch presses, roll mills, robots, dust collectors or other metal forming equipment.

General Assembly is responsible for:

• Operate and calibrate machinery and equipment (i.e. booking press, drum unit, window RUVO, handtools) in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ensure quality standards by completing KQI’s for both units and the wet system.
• Set up slabs as appropriate.
• Ensure inventory is adequate. Inform group leader or supervisory of shortages.
• Keep area and equipment clean, maintained, and organized in a safe manner.
• Adhere to all safety training, policies, and procedures.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel.

Skills and Abilities:

• 1-2 years of current production experience required.
• Ability to read and write a limited number of words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
• Ability to count and perform simple math operations to determine information such as weight, temperature, and quantity.
• Must be able to perform lockout tagout.
• Ability to meet production and quality standards.
• Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.
