ABOUT US

Clinivoy Infusion Care is a referral-based infusion center that services all providers in multiple locations in California. Our centers are unique and offer individual comfortable settings for our patients. Our mission is to provide exceptional service in the administration of infusion therapy in a comfortable, patient-focused environment by providing exceptional professional clinical care.

Our company is continuing to grow, and we are looking for a LVN to support our center in Irvine, CA.

The Clinivoy Licensed Vocational Nurse will use a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach to provide direct patient care and coordinate infusion and injection activities in compliance with professional practice and clinical standards in an outpatient setting.

PAY

Pay is $28 - $36 DOE

Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

PROFILE SUMMARY

Under direction of the Nurse Practitioner, provides direct nursing care to patients, within their scope of practice.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Greets patients respectfully and ensures patients are cared for in a timely and safe manner.
• Provides general nursing care to patients; administers prescribed medications per drug protocol and within the scope of practice.
• Performs an age vital signs and nursing assessment on each assigned patient.
• Provides age specific education; initiates and reinforces as needed for infusions/injections they are receiving.
• Reviews list of biologic questions for all patients. 
• Provides patient education about individualized treatment and answers questions appropriately according to evidence-based practice and the Medication Policy and Procedures. Provides written education materials about the drug they are receiving. • Observes, records, and reports patient's condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to the Medical Director and records in electronic medical record (EMR). Completes all other required documentation and reporting as necessary.
• Provides accurate, real-time documentation in the patient's EMR. 
• Provides close monitoring of patients in infusion rooms and prioritize complexity of care.
• Assist with administration of infusion medications and patient monitoring under the supervision of the health care provider.
• Assist in scheduling patients for their infusion appointments in the company EMR
• Maintains timely flow of patient care and documentation. 
• Responds to emergencies and confidently demonstrates and documents interventions ordered by the Nurse Practitioner and/or Provider.
• Follows all OSHA guidelines to minimize exposure to blood borne pathogens. 
• Follows HIPPA regulations and practices with a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining patient confidentiality. 
• Assists and supports colleagues with all aspects of patient care.
• Participates and completes other duties as assigned.
• Receives, organizes, and processes New Patient Referrals.
• Assists in ensuring charts for existing patients are complete and updated according to company protocols and processes. • Completes release of information requests including retrieving patient's medical chart and returning chart, scanning medical record accurately and correctly and transmitting daily, according to requests, established procedures, and established standards of quality and productivity.
• Date stamps all requests and highlights pertinent data to facilitate processing.
• Follows up on requests for outstanding information required to complete patients’ charts.
• Validates requests and authorizations for release of medical information according to established procedures.
• Any additional tasks as applicable for LVN and Intake position.

EDUCATION

  • Required: Associate Degree from an accredited school of a CA Vocational Nursing Program
  • Required Certification, License or Memberships:
    • Valid license in the State of CA
    • National Provider BLS American Heart Association.
  • Preferred Certification, License or Memberships:
    • IV Therapy Certification

EXPERIENCE

● Minimum of 1 year of a post-graduate, LVN experience required, preferably in a clinical setting. 
● Recent Infusion experience preferred

TECHNICAL / SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Thorough knowledge of Nursing laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Keen assessment and monitoring skills; ability to identify medication reactions quickly.
  • Skilled at performing intravenous catheter placement and monitoring for signs and symptoms IV site related complications.
  • Skilled in drawing labs using aseptic technique.
  • Skilled at performing subcutaneous injections and monitor for site reactions.
  • Able to demonstrate infection control precautions and sterile technique.
  • Able to provide age-appropriate education to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and elderly patients.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a group.
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing, efficient use of the internet and email, and experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work Environment: Infusion Center, Patient Home, Doctors Office & Pharmacy
  • Physical Effort: Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

  • % Travel Required: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
