The Operations Remote Care Medical Assistant providescustomer service and patient care in accordance with Clinic protocols, departmentalworkflow processes, and recognized standards.
1. Will participate and maintain a culture withinThe Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in theService and Behavioral Standards document. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, andembrace the principles contained within. 2. Coordinates and collaborates with thepractices' providers, clinical and office staff, and other resources to addressall these effectively. 3. Accurately records pertinent information inthe EHR and ensure necessary patient care documentation is processed and doneso in a timely manner. 4. Accepts and returns patient phone calls in atimely manner, as per provider direction, with accurate documentation. 5. Assists all TCC departments to ensure clinicalworkflow is effective and efficient, while delivering quality patient care andcustomer service. This includes but is not limited to: Worklists/taskmanagement, referrals, Rx refill and order management, contactingpatients/organizations, and case/bucket management. 6. Improves the quality of care throughcontinuing education and self-evaluation of the effectiveness of care. This includes attendance and participation inmost in-services/department meetings and remaining current on clinic/departmentpolicies and procedures. 7. Works in compliance with the requirements asoutlined in the Remote Work Agreement. 8. Other tasks as assigned.
1. Two (2) years healthcare experience as aCertified/Registered Medical Assistant or LPN with an active certification orLPN with an active license required. 2. Minimum one (1) year of case management, carecoordination, or practice experience required.
1. Ability to work well with providers, clinicalstaff, and patients. 2. Ability to work on multiple taskssimultaneously in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality ofwork. 3. Highly self-motivated, organized, and able towork independently - you will be held to a high standard of quality andproductivity for work. 4. Maintain patients' privacy, confidentiality,and safety, and adhering to ethical, legal, and accreditation/regulatorystandards always. 5. Technology experience - preferably withmultiple EHR systems, but at a minimum familiar with Microsoft Office andcomfortable learning new software quickly. Experience with Athena a plus.Intermediate computer and telephone skills. 6. You will be the voice of our company, on thefrontline speaking with the patients, so you must be highly professional on thephone; able to maintain a compassionate and engaging tone even with distrustfulor unhappy patients; quick thinking to respond in the moment to patientquestions and needs, with strong critical thinking skills to ask appropriatefollow-up questions and prioritize what you learn from patients; someone whoenjoys working with a wide variety of personalities. Excellent customer serviceskills. 1. You should havefast and reliable internet, i.e., internet speed equal to or greater than 300Mbps for download and 30 Mbps upload; please note that satellite internetservice is not sufficient for this role.
