The Perioperative Nursing Director will be responsible for the inpatient and outpatient Operating Rooms, Post Anesthesia Care Unit,and Surgical short stay. The Director will be expected to oversee total operations, support a work environment where there is effective communication, collaboration, efficiency, and growth. They will oversee all surgical staff to effectively maintain and achieve positive patient outcomes and satisfaction. The Surgical Services Nurse Director will adhere to AORN standards, state and federal regulations, devise and implement the unit budget, and improve growth and development. They should have their BSN, at least 5 years of Surgical Services experience and at least 3 years of nursing leadership experience.
