Reporting up to the Surgical Services Department Manager and CNOR Charge Nurse, the Surgical Services Nurse oversees patient care throughout the shift. This person will work closely with other Physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HUCs, and Surgical Services Medical professionals in order to ensure compassionate and competent care.
Throughout their shift, the Surgical Nurse plays a pivotal role in organizing medication administration and meticulously documenting patient care activities. In addition to these responsibilities, the RN promptly responds to medical emergencies, applying their expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Effective communication is key, as the Surgical Nurse regularly interacts with patients and hospital staff, ensuring clear and compassionate exchange of information amidst the urgency of the OR setting.
