The Nurse Manager of Operating Room will have the opportunity to become an integral part of an exceptional Surgery Center that boasts a stellar reputation as one of Portland's premier destinations for orthopedic care. The OR Nurse Manager will report to the Administrative Nursing Director of Nursing. This person will be supported by a CNOR Operating Room Assistant Nurse Manager, as well as a tenured and experienced team of Surgery Charge RNs.The energy in this 8-OR Surgery Center can only be described as fast-paced, which makes the support that everyone offers that much more important.
The OR Nurse Manager is expected to have knowledge on the principles and practices of Perioperative Nursing and Patient Care. The Manager will be responsible for serving as a role model, initiator in problem-solving, decision-making processes, delegating, and communicating information to the nursing staff. The Surgical Services Nurse Manager will develop clear performance expectations and resolve performance problems. In addition to these aspects, the Manager will also help develop and maintain the departmental budget, as well as regulatory compliance.
