Registered Nurse - Orthopedic/Medical Unit

A large, award winning hospital is currently seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join their Orthopedic/Medical unit.

The Orthopedic Medical Unit Registered Nurse will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to a diverse patient population, including orthopedic and general medical patients. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night, the Registered Nurse will have the resources and support to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

The Medsurg/Ortho Registered Nurse's responsibilities will involve collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing comprehensive nursing care. The Staff Nurse will educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and wellness promotion, while ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining detailed patient records. Additionally, the Ortho Unit RN will advocate for patient rights and promote a positive, healing environment.

Qualifications:

• Current Colorado Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, but not required
• Proven experience in an acute care setting, preferably in orthopedics or medical nursing
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
