To excel in the RN Med Surg Unit Director role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• Active Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
• Five years of experience, including several years of acute care nursing leadership.
• Proven ability to direct and supervise nursing staff, develop and implement policies, and ensure staff compliance.
• Experience in preparing, developing, and submitting department budgets, monitoring expenditures, and explaining variances.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to set and achieve short and long-term goals for the nursing unit.
