This technologically advanced 300-bed medical center, in the heart of the Greater Seattle Area, is actively seeking an experienced full-time ED Nursing Manager. Reporting to the Emergency Department Nursing Director, the ED Nursing Manager will oversee a clinical and administrative operations for a full range of Emergency Personnel. This role will be supported by three Emergency Room Assistant Managers, so you’ll be able to focus on actually leading the department.
Administratively, the Nursing Manager will help control the budget and fiscal performance for the Emergency Department. You’ll take center stage in evaluating staff competencies, addressing skill gaps, and working with the necessary business partners to make sure Emergency Services is running smoothly.
As a clinical leader, you will be the accountable for insuring that Emergency Department RNs, Triage and Admitting Nurses, CENs, and support staff are all following best practices and clinical protocol. A major element of the RN Emergency Nursing Supervisor role will entail working with the Emergency Department Nurse Educator to support and improve education initiatives for the Emergency Services Unit. Working with the hospital and health system education department, the ED Nursing Manager develop and execute periodic skills reviews and continuing education workshops on emerging trends in Emergency Nursing.
