A leading healthcare organization in Southeastern Virginia is looking for an experienced Nurse Leader to become their Surgical Services Nurse Director. This is an exciting opportunity that has just become available with this not-for-profit organization.

The Perioperative Nursing Director will report directly to the VP of Operations. They will oversee Pre-Op, PACU, Endoscopy, 7 ORs to include inpatient acute care hospital and outpatient ASC cases, and Central Sterile Processing Department. Surgical cases include but are not limited to General Surgery, GI/GU, Orthopedics, Spine, Vascular, and Plastics. The Nurse Director will oversee a total of 90 staff members.
The Perioperative Nursing Director will be expected to provide a work environment where the staff feels empowered and supported. They will mentor staff to effectively maintain and achieve positive patient outcomes and satisfaction. The Surgical Services Nurse Director will adhere to AORN standards, state and federal regulations, devise and implement the unit budget, and improve growth and development. They should have their BSN, at least 5 years of Surgical Services Management.
