As the Nurse Manager Surgery, you will be at the helm of a highly skilled team, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality surgical care across 8 ORs and a dynamic team of 30 FTEs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Direct and manage daily OR operations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Clinical Expertise: Provide expert clinical guidance to OR staff, ensuring developmentally appropriate care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and communicate departmental strategic plans and annual goals, aligning with organizational objectives.
  • Quality and Safety: Interpret and enforce regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with quality and safety initiatives.
  • Resource Management: Optimize the use of staff and financial resources, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Staff Development: Lead the recruitment, training, and evaluation of OR team members, promoting professional growth and a collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and 2 years of nursing leadership experience in a pediatric acute care hospital setting.
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a related health field preferred.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; ANCC or Magnet recognized certification preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, particularly those related to surgical services.
