To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing and current New York registration. A Baccalaureate in Nursing (BSN) is required. We value continuous learning and encourage our nurses to pursue further education.
In addition to your education, we require one year of acute care nursing experience, although experience in medical-surgical or step-down areas is preferred. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is also required. Depending on the unit you will be working in, additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and NRP may be necessary.
