The Nurse Director of Emergency will oversee 200 full-time employees, responsible for both pediatrics and adult ED and will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Emergency Room RN Director will take on the role of serving as a patient advocate, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, staffing, policy, and procedure, and budget, state, and federal regulations. 

It is required that this Emergency Room RN Director has 3-5 years of director or manager level experience in Emergency Services, and level I or /level II trauma experience. The Emergency Nurse Director must possess a master’s degree and trauma certification (TNCC) or be willing to obtain the TNCC certification within one year of hire.
