Reporting to an experienced Medical Surgical Services Team, the Med-Surg RN will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all assigned inpatients. The Medical Surgical Nurse will work closely with physicians, nursing, and ancillary staff to provide safe and effective care. The Medical Surgical RN will have the opportunity to provide autonomous care according to hospital policies and procedures, and will collaborate with the unit manager, facility director, and other healthcare professionals to ensure delivery of high quality care for patients during their brief inpatient stays. This role will also be involved in patient discharge planning, providing education to patients and their families for a smooth discharge process.
