Clinical Management Consultants is Hiring a Laboratory Manager Near Santa Rosa, CA
The Lab Manager will join an award winning hospital that received "A" grades for hospital safety from The Leapfrog Group, as well as several awards from Healthgrades, including the Patient Safety Excellence Award, the Outstanding Patient Experience Award, and the America's 250 Best Hospitals Award. The Lab Manager will lead this full-service laboratory that provides a wide range of diagnostic testing services, including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pathology, and Blood Banking.
Reporting to the Lab Director, the Manager will lead a high-volume laboratory that offers an array of hospital testing services. This person will supervise laboratory operations to include guidance in the distribution of workload to maintain quality and efficiency, maintain effective communication of chemical testing results, and work closely with the laboratory management team in order to achieve efficiency.
As the Laboratory Manager, this motivated individual will provide support in hiring and orienting new staff, assist in outside lab testing, shipping, and supply orders, and validate that all quality control procedures and documentation are in compliance. Prior leadership experience in a laboratory testing setting, ASCP or equivalent Medical Laboratory Scientist certification, a California CLS License, familiarity with OSHA guidelines and a Bachelor’s degree will make for quick interviews!
The Lab Manager will enjoy living in an area with a small town feel but close proximity to San Francisco and Oakland. The downtown area is filled with locally-owned shops, wineries, restaurants, and businesses, creating a friendly and welcoming community. It is an excellent place for outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and fishing. The city is also located near several state and regional parks.
