- California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Completion of an approved basic training program for infection prevention.
- Certification in infection prevention is desired (Any employee in this position that does not have certification upon hire is required by California law to obtain certification within two years of hire).

Job Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
The Hospital Infection Control Nurse is vital to the hospital's operation and the safety of the patients, visitors, and employees. The IP will assure that hospital-wide policies and procedures comply with the regulatory standards. This person will also have the opportunity to coordinate and provide continuous improvement to the Infection Control Program implemented throughout the facility. This includes implementing goals and objectives for surveillance, analysis & reporting of infections, and staff education and support.
