As the RN Emergency Department Manager, you will be a vital component of a 250 bed facility that offers a wide variety of care such as surgical services, emergency care, family medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, oncology and so much more! With an experienced Emergency Services Nursing support staff working under them, the Emergency Nurse Manager will have the proper resources necessary to ensure that the Emergency Department is operating at the highest level and all goals are being met. The Emergency Nurse Manager will report to the Director of Emergency Services and will collaborate with them on unit goals and initiatives. 

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management: 

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff within the emergency department.

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize departmental efficiency and performance.

• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.

 Staff Supervision and Development:

• Recruit, hire, and train nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times.

• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff members.

• Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development.

Clinical Oversight:

• Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and clinical protocols in the delivery of patient care.

• Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment plans.
