Located in the KCMO suburbs, this 70 bed Acute Care Facility offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The Critical Care Nurse Director will join a team that was awarded an ‘A’ Grade from the Leapfrog Group and is Pathway Designated.
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Critical Care Nurse Director will be well supported by a strong set of Critical Care Charge Nurses and a strong staff of CCRN certified RNs. They will work closely with the other departmental leaders throughout inpatient services to ensure quality patient care is provided.
Spearheading the operations of the new 15-bed ICU, the Critical Care Nurse Director will serve as a mentor to staff and focus to develop working relationships between staff members and providers. They will act as an advocate for patients and a liaison to the Medical Staff while continuously building onto the success of the Critical Care Department. The Nurse Director will focus on improvement of key performance indicators and develop and implement nursing policies and procedures, recommending any changes where needed in this newly integrated Department.
