Responsibilities:
- Direct the financial and departmental activities following hospital policies and objectives.
- Analyze and explore means of reducing hospital operating costs and increasing revenues based on market trends and financial reports.
- Prepare internal financial reports that accurately reflect the hospital's financial position.
- Ensure timely submission of all financial data and reports required by government agencies and third-party payors.
- Identify and report trends and potential business opportunities, making recommendations for action.
- Assist the CEO in the development of long and short-range operational plans and budgets.
- Administer accounting and financial functions of the hospital, including third-party reimbursement and statistical reporting.
- Forecast the impact of business decisions on financial results and monitor financial and economic information.
- Communicate financial operational performance with stakeholders, including senior administration and facility staff members.
- Review contracts and financial arrangements to ensure compatibility with business goals and profitability expectations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 4 years of experience in a Hospital Controller, Assistant CFO, or VP of Finance role preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred.
