As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse within the Cardiac Stroke Unit will contribute to the delivery of specialized care for patients with acute cardiac and stroke conditions. Reporting to the Unit Manager, this role entails collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment of patients' cardiac and neurological needs. Responsibilities include administering medications, managing drips, monitoring vital signs, and providing patient and family education and support. With a focus on patient safety and quality care, adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards is imperative. There are 33 beds in the unit and this position requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment dedicated to advancing cardiovascular and stroke care.
