Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities and Position Qualifications: Quality is in our DNA, is it in yours? The Accounting Specialist, Senior will be responsible for leading the accounting processes within the accounts payable department, balance sheet account analysis, and relevant financial reporting processes in accordance with our company policies and practices. Under minimal supervision, and in accordance with Company policies, procedures and guidelines, this position is- LOCATION: Aiea Heights, Hawaii Days: Monday - Friday HOURS: 1st Shift TBD FULL TIME: Benefits Eligible Essential Job Duties: Processes the reconciliation of various statements, preparing them for payment and/or mailing. Verifies and processes invoices for payment ensuring appropriate approvals and backup information provided in accordance with company policies and procedures. Inputs invoices into the purchasing system and extracts information into the Accounting system. May perform limited collection activities. Handles cash and/or check deposits in a timely manner. Reconciles bank statements and updates bankbook. Reconciles cash clearing account. Accurately enters data into computer system as required. Checks for discrepancies and researches errors to ensure accuracy in a timely manner. Processes monthly recurring and lease payments. Prepares year-end or periodic tax forms as required. Maintains accurate spreadsheets as required. Adheres to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirements. Maintains consistent and reliable attendance and complies with company guidelines on attendance. Performs other duties as assigned. Want to help get your resume to the top? Take a look at the qualifications and experience we require: High School diploma or GED Typing (min 35 wpm) and 10 Key. MUST be able to demonstrate proficiency. Requires a positive demeanor and professional phone etiquette and disposition that is both fair and consistent with all clients in which they help support. Must have the ability to professionally handle consumer and commercial collections and possess good attention to detail and record keeping. Ability to work with minimal direction; seeking additional help/information as needed from Supervisor or Team Leader. Knowledge of computer technology and terminology. Perform duties in a timely and accurate manner. Ability to work under deadlines. Maintain confidentiality of information. Ability to read and comprehend English. Here are some of the preferred skills we are looking for: Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar field. 2 years of accounting or finance experience. Experience and proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets. Strong math, analytical, and data entry skills required. Excellent organizational skills required.
