Cliff Drysdale/PBI is Hiring a Tennis Teaching Professional Near Rome, GA

The Teaching Professional will work closely with the General Manager to promote and conduct tennis instruction and player development programs to meet the needs/demands for all tennis segments in the local marketplace.

Rome Tennis Center at Berry College is seeking the services of a passionate and dynamic individual who aspires to be a Top Level Teaching Professional to join our team. 

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience providing golf lessons and developing lesson programs for individuals and groups.
  • Experience coaching different levels of tennis players
  • GED or high school diploma
  • Social and interpersonal skills required to interact with Members and Guests
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Availability to work varied shifts inclusive of - evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the General Manager to plan and develop instruction programs that appeal to all tennis segments in the surrounding market
  • Provides tennis instruction to private students and group participants as demand dictates and as needed
  • Provides training and development to other instructors as directed and as needed
  • Assists in the Supervision and upkeep of the practice facilities to ensure that safe, clean, organized and professional conditions exist throughout
  • Assists in keeping all teaching aids and instruction inventory in excellent condition
  • Utilize state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and be able to integrate the use of training aids, video tape and club fitting into the facility’s instructional programs when necessary
  • Participate in administrative duties as directed and as needed to ensure smooth operation of the golf instruction program
  • Represent the facility in the community and with local businesses through promotional activities and programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
