This role will work the second shift from 3:00 am- 12:00 pm. In this role, you will plan and supervise maintenance personnel in improvements, repairs and preventive maintenance on all foundry equipment, machining equipment, and facility. Direct Electricians, Maintenance Technicians, and Laborers to a 100 % uptime goal. Support manufacturing to improve safety, quality, maximize productivity, and contribute to the overall profitability of the organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Promote and enforce all safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work placeWork as a cross functional team to complete repair and/or improvements that are required.Plan and supervise all repair activities associated with equipment and facility maintenance.Direct the workforce in their work assignments.Provide guidance in troubleshooting of plant equipment.Serve on quality, productivity, and scrap assessment committees.Provide training and to promote continuing education.Purchase parts and services needed in maintaining equipment.Develop process improvements to continually increase production capacities.Provide technical assistance to operations.Maintain a high level of labor / management relations to promote harmony in the work place.Develop and implement the TPM program through CMMS work order system.Develop, schedule, and complete necessary capital projects.Work with contractors and vendors to provide oversight.Promote and develop SPX leadership standards.Manage maintenance parts stores inventory, plant automation, equipment process control systemSupervise Building and Grounds activities to include, Mechanics, Carpenters and Equipment Operators. QualificationsEducation & Experience2 year Technical Degree or equivalent6 years combined industrial, mechanical & electrical experience2 years of leadership / supervisor experienceCertification in Advance Hydraulics, Industrial Electricity, Motor Control, & Programmable Logic Controls or equivalent experiencePrevious Foundry Experience with machine tool concepts Skills & AbilitiesStrong organizational and computer skillsSelf-motivated with a sense of urgencyMechanical and Electrical trouble shooting skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWorks well with others at all levelsAdditional InformationThis direct hire role is located onsite in Michigan City, IN and will work from 3:00 am-12:00 pm.
