Job Description

We are seeking an Avionics Communications Engineer for a direct hire/permanent role in Lexington Park, MD. This role will work a hybrid schedule in the Lexington Park office.

This role will join an existing team support of Navy acquisition programs specifications, evaluations, and integration of military avionics systems. This role will support the following: 

• Military communications systems
• Radar altimeters, 
• Data Loaders
• Navigation systems,
• Moving maps
• Flight mission computer hardware and software. 

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree with 10 years experience with military avionics systems.
• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working understanding of Naval Air acquisition SETR processes
• Knowledge of military communications systems, radar altimeters, navigation systems, data loaders, moving maps, and flight mission computer hardware and software. 

Desired Skills:

• Naval Air Program Office experience.
• Software development experience.

Additional Information

This permanent/direct hire role will be located in Lexington Park, MD. This role can offer a hybrid schedule and is eligible for a sign on bonus between $5,000-$10,000. Due to the projects supported, this role will require the selected applicant to be a U.S. Citizen and be eligible to obtain a secret clearance.
