ClickAway is Hiring a Computer IT Technician Near San Jose, CA

IT TECHNICIAN:

ClickAway is a full retail, one stop shop for device purchase, repair, and upgrade. This is a sales, customer service, which is 2/3 of the job to generate business, then repair/install of computers/phones/printers/network devices, hourly paid plus commission earned including end of month bonus.

Wage:

  • $55-$75k annual gross income (includes commisions and bonuses)
  • Non-exempt, full-time, benefits
  • Hourly base wage dependent on City minimum wage
  • Commission earned from each gross profit transaction.
  • End of month bonus opportunities

Requirements:

  • Provide proof of eligibility to work in the USA
  • Consent to background and reference check in accordance with local/state/federal laws
  • Possess California Driver’s License and provide clean DMV record for review.
  • Must be living within the area of our stores (sorry, we cannot assist with relocation)
  • Available to work all operational hours, especially required Fri, Sat, and Mon.

Minimum Experience:

  • Must have at least 1 years of Customer Service & Sales experience - we are business to customer, with retail section, providing services and products to customers.
  • Must have at least 3 years of work experience in Hardware troubleshooting- how to diagnose, repair, upgrade, replace, and install components in computers.
  • Full knowledge of fresh installation of new OS(Windows and/or Apple), data transfer, system backup, drivers, MS Office setup, email software, and similar popular services and products, including OS corruption fixes.
  • Mac and PC experience: Laptop repair (replacement of components, keyboard, track pad, screen, etc) Desktop troubleshooting of components.
  • Experience with access points, mesh networks, and setup of home office networks
  • Preferred skills include tablet/printer/mobile device repair experience, but not required

The IT Technician will receive devices from customers, listen to their problems and then check-in the device (Customer Service skills). IT Technicians will run diagnostic tools on Apple, Android, and Windows devices, networks, or other devices and present options to customers; take appropriate actions based on authorization from customers (Sales skills). Repair, replace, install, and/or upgrade hardware and software, or replace customers’ device entirely. Follow the appropriate standards of operation from check-in to resolution to check-out process.

A candidate will possess some or all the following experience/skills: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.

  • Create a first-rate customer experience
  • Knowledgeable on latest diagnostic tools for computers
  • Understands parts of systems and able to identify computer components
  • Networking – onsite jobs; homes, businesses, servers
  • Set-up servers and set-up of Networks and/or troubleshooting networks
  • Repair, replace, upgrade hardware within the device
  • Install operating systems and software, programs, MS Office, financial programs, web browsers, email clients, etc.
  • Knowledgeable regarding virus detection protocols and programs
  • Manages deadlines and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Create invoices through Company ExtraNet system, breakdown pricing as needed per customer requests
  • Accept payments from customers for services
  • Sales of PCs, Macs and OS software
  • Create Worker Orders, Purchase Orders, and Invoices
  • Respond to email questions entered on website
  • Answer customer telephone calls, utilizing scripts as provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
