Cleveland Metropolitan School District is Hiring an Operation manager Near Cleveland, OH

THE OPPORTUNITY :

Location : Administration or As Assigned

Reports to : Executive Director, New School Development

FLSA Status : Exempt

Salary Band : 14

Compensation : $63,240.00 - $88,536.00

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse Operations Manager will report to the Executive Director, New School Development. This role will plan, direct, and coordinate the storage, distribution, and transportation operations for all warehousing customers and assist in analyzing financial data to inform operational decisions.

Additionally, this role will establish and maintain positive customer relations to ensure timely, quality services. This role will also work to continuously improve the customer experience within the warehouse operations.

  • Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services
  • Oversees and provides guidance to warehouse personnel
  • Ensures the safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards
  • Develops and implements shipping and receiving work schedules and assignments to ensure effective and efficient operations
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Collaborates with senior management in Warehouse Operations
  • Manages a multi-million-dollar inventory for District and federal funding programs and local programs
  • Works collaboratively with internal leadership and team members throughout the District
  • Manages performance, reviews and sets annual goals for staff
  • Manages outside contractors
  • Assists in tracking of stolen products
  • Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment
  • Makes recommendations to the Executive Director, New School Development, on programs to improve warehouse operations
  • Supervises all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashion
  • Maintains productivity and order accuracy to achieve a high warehouse service level
  • Reviews and works with cross-department management to improve upon the overall customers’ experience with the District
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or inventory management with supervisory experience
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification in the first 6 months in the role
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Results-oriented with strong planning and organizing skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Personal commitment to the ultimate success of CMSD transformation
  • Understanding of issues related to inequity in education and a passion for CMSD’s mission
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including experience managing and developing talent
  • Successful with overcoming significant barriers to meet goals in a fast-paced and changeable environment
  • Able to critically assess challenges and identify flexible, effective solutions
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license required
