Cleveland Hearing & Speech Center has an immediate opening for a FULL-TIME Hearing Instrument Specialist.

Major Job Responsibilities

  • Provide hearing testing for fitting hearing aids
  • Conduct hearing aid and assistive listening device consults to determine appropriate products
  • Perform hearing aid dispenses and follow-up including gathering outcomes using objective (real ear) verification of fitting
  • Provide ongoing hearing aid services including in-house and manufacturer repairs
  • Serve a diverse payer mix: self-pay, Medicaid, private insurance including Third Party Administrators and a sliding fee scale program for those unable to pay
  • Work at multiple outpatient clinic locations (urban and suburban) in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area
  • Work with and support a team of 10 audiologists and one Hearing Instrument Specialist
  • Conduct community-based hearing screenings and assist/ present community-based educational talks
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Active licensure from the State of Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board or eligibility
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team member
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
