As a Medication Access Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play an essential role in helping patients receive timely, convenient access to the medications they need. You’ll work in busy inpatient and outpatient settings, assisting physicians and nurses as they build the most effective care plans.Your primary duties include:
Assisting outpatient pharmacies with their workload.
Conducting medication histories on newly admitted patients.
Coordinating medications for patients upon discharge.
Helping caregivers and patients find cost-effective medication options.
Performing cost estimates on patients’ medications upon request.
The ideal future caregiver:
Works well in a team with other caregivers.
Hasprevious pharmacy experience.
Is detail-oriented and precise.
Multitasks and works efficiently.
Stays calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Your valuable work helps keep patients safe at every phase of their care — during tests, treatments and hospital stays. And as part of the Cleveland Clinic team, you receive ongoing training throughout your professional development. Medication Access Pharmacy Technicians often explore roles as Lead Technicians or Assistant Managers. This opportunity also offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus.
