As a Pulmonary Function Technician, you will work alongside caregivers to provide diagnostic evaluation of pulmonary function in pediatric patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Your primary duties will include: Administering pulmonary function tests and evaluating quality according to protocol.Preparing, maintaining, and calibrating pulmonary function testing equipment.Performing and analyzing quality control data, performing advanced invasive or noninvasive protocols, and designing and performing investigatory protocols. The ideal caregiver is someone who: Is passionate with strong empathy skills. Prioritizes multitasking in a stressful environment. Works well in a collaborative, team-based setting. Ideally has 1-2 years of PFT experience, but we are open to teaching and training a highly motivated candidate who is willing to learn.This department encourages ongoing education and professional development. Caregivers in this role will have the opportunity to assist in the Pediatric OR for Bronchoscopies. The primary location will be at Main Campus in the Children's Outpatient Center. Once onboarding and cross-training is complete, caregivers may be asked to rotate to various locations. This team is close-knit and works together to provide exceptional patient care. This role also entails weekend and holiday call (8:00 am-4:30 pm) for Bronchoscopy assists on a rotating basis, with call occurring once every 6-7 weeks.
