Lakewood Family Health Center’s Emergency Department (ED) is looking to add a Nurse Manager to their collaborative team of caregivers. The Nurse Manager is knowledgeable of the patient population and serves as a resource to caregivers on the team. Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing the team's ability to provide safe, high-quality care to our patients.
Showing a presence and being supportive and responsive of team members.
Serving as a resource to caregivers on the team.
Developing and maintaining unit related patient care standards through continuous quality improvement.

Possesses both intellectual and emotional intelligence.
Can triage problems and use critical thinking skills for problem solving.
Can build and develop interpersonal relationships with team members.
Is organized and can complete projects in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
High degree of clinical expertise in specialty area managed. If in neonatal care services, Level 3 Obstetric Service area, or Level 4 Obstetric Service area Master’s Degree is required. If in perinatal care specialization Masters of Nursing required.
Demonstrated leadership, management, communication, counseling, problems solving, decision making, conflict resolution and group process skills.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA)
If in an ED, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department.
