The Coronary Intensive Care and Heart Failure Intensive Care Units, J31 and J32, are part of Cleveland Clinic Main Campus' Cardiac Medical Intensive Care Units. We have 24 patient beds within our J31 Coronary Intensive Care Unit and 10 patient beds within our J32 Heart Failure Intensive Care Unit. Patients of the J31 nursing unit are sometimes presented with cardiogenic shock or are in their final phases of life. And, our J32 nurses often care for patients who present with heart failure or post-heart transplant rejection requiring aggressive, fast-paced interventions.
Clinical Technicians work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide top-quality patient care to diverse populations of cardiac patients. This unit has a dedicated team of caregivers that provide the highest quality care to patients. As a Clinical Technician, your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Providing or assisting with basic patient care.
• Reporting abnormal findings and changes in conditions.
• Helping patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Keeping patients' rooms clean and orderly.
The future caregiver is someone who:
• Is eager to learn.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
• Thrives in a team environment.
• Provides care with compassion and empathy.
• Is energetic and positive.
