Cleveland Clinic's Integrative Hospital Care Institute is currently seeking a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care Certified) for a full time, high acuity inpatient pulmonary position at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus. This position will work in a medical hospitalist role covering patients with critical life-threatening illness admitted to Inpatient Pulmonary Services with extensive training and cross coverage responsibilities for Primary Pulmonary, Advanced Pulmonary Unit and Lung Transplant. In this role, you will work in collaboration with pulmonary staff physicians. This opportunity affords practicing as a team member as well as with autonomy for independent rounding, examination, chest tube management and removal, ventilator weaning, results interpretation, decision-making and treatment implementation. We are looking for detail-oriented providers who like a challenge! Experience is preferred, however new graduates with ICU or transplant experience are welcome to apply. Working hours are 7a-7p or 7a-5p depending on service (7day/week coverage) with rotating holidays and weekends, no nights or call! APRN: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Provides advanced nursing care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services.
PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and or specialty medical care (the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions the collaboration agreement of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PA's are privileged by the Board of Governors. PA's in this role provide advanced care to patients with in any setting in which patients require complex, acute, critical and chronic health conditions. Practice in a setting that requires complex monitoring and therapies and high intensity medical/surgical interventions and/or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care.
