Cleveland Clinic’s Emergency Services Institute has attained the 90th percentile of all Emergency Departments in the United States. The Emergency Services Institute cares for over 500,000 adult and pediatric patients annually across 16 Emergency Departments including Lutheran Hospital. Lutheran Hospital’s Emergency Department has 21 private beds with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
As a Resident Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department Unit, you will:
•Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
•Provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
•Monitor and document patient's condition effectively and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
•Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
•Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
•Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
